Breeder Data Licence Agreement

The NVT Breeder Licence Agreement is a pathway available for breeders participating in the NVT program to access, and use, NVT trial data in combination with the breeder’s own dataset to assist in breeder decision making.

The NVT data available via this mechanism includes non-public plot level yield data, plot level measurements, grain quality data, or single site and MET analysed results.

The benefits of providing data to Participating Breeders via the Breeder Data Licence Agreement include:

  • Improved efficiencies and reduce duplication by utilising an existing dataset;
  • Ability for breeders to use the NVT dataset in an expanded capacity;
  • Adding additional environments to a Breeder’s dataset and analysis;
  • Adding additional data to assist breeder decision making and variety selection;
  • Provides support for small and emerging variety owners without extensive internal trialling networks;
  • Provides additional benefits new companies (both domestic and international) to participate in the NVT program.

A Breeder may be granted access to data that relates to the crop type and cultivars of which have been entered by that Breeder in the NVT program. The use of trial data is for internal Breeder use and not for external publication.
